bcb723 Haven't slept much going on 2 days & this record on repeat during this time has put these songs waaay under my skin. It really plays like a nightmare. Just an edge of your seat, end of "2001: A Space Odyssey" psychedelic horror. Like whatever is going on during "Vital Confrontation" makes me anxious every time the song starts because of where it takes you. It honestly creeps me out. Which is kind of the point, I think. Maybe this is what's keeping me up? Nah, but I think I do need to crash soon. Favorite track: Embracing Of Self (Shedding of Illusions).

RiffPuffer Thought evoking album. Musicianship does well to articulate the concept. The acoustic/percussionary introduction, sounds like a death march as you start your journey through a foreboding landscape painted by sonic waves. Thundering bombardment of heavy guitar wake you to the impending doom of the situation. Ending righttfully with "Embracing of Self" you will feel like you've walked out a stronger person. This album is heavy, well thought and performed. A statement to the current world situation

Ed OCasey Again! Nothing Is Real continue to offer brutal, beautiful, raw soundscapes that move my mind and body. I can't count the number of times I found myself swaying to the rhythms of these songs. This album is as unafraid of itself as anything I've heard: I would call it technical post-doom. As usual the production is warm and alive; I feel like I'm in the practice studio with them as they perfect their craft. Thank you for this!

about

A metaphorical journey through a barren desert wasteland teeming with the bones of those who didn't make it. Lost souls wander as sickly sweet mirages leer and try to reel one into their sinister plans. A metaphor for life and it's own trappings, and a journey of self discovery through pain and error and to ultimately discover and embrace the true self. The album has been left completely instrumental devoid of samples or vocals to completely immerse one's self into this subjective experience, a harrowing seven fold path journey through the abyss and to the core of one's being. Not all will make it.
